It’s actually interesting and depending on the build, very challenging.

Even though with certain builds the game limits the passives you would normally want, that is the price you have to pay for the unique weapon evolutions. That being said though, there’s some interesting things going on for the game like the unique weapon evolution system (which has its negatives and positives), huge amount weapon variety, great art style for anime fans and overworld hub with lore which is unexplored in these type of games. Skill based gameplay is and always will be better than grind based. The devs should seriously take some notes from the top games in the genre and balance this sh*t out. It’s all about grinding permanent upgrades until you survive the ridiculous stat checks. This game requires zero movement based skill in order progress. Just need to sadly get past the troublesome early-mid game grind. I would still recommend this game because I had so much fun discovering all the weapons, evolutions and builds in this game. Not with skill based movement technique which is very important to me in these type of games.
